We went for our second walk with Ellie this week. Our first walk was week 1, our second walk was week 9. We had a good reason and still have not ventured through the neighborhood again. I guess you can assume that we are still recovering. We had a wonderful walk in the park.

We had the students over last night after Click and played Mario Kart for the first time. It's a blast! I'm awful but after a little practice I'll be much better, I'm sure.
We are learning that Ellie loves people. She has never gone to sleep when we have people over. Last night she was up until 1:30 (the students left at 11).
Fantasy Football is a big deal in our house. The draft was not pretty this year.
During our live draft Ellie decided that she wanted to eat for an hour instead of 30 minutes. Dave, being the great husband that he is, grabbed both computers and signed on for me. He told me I had first pick. The only good thing about the first position is your first pick.
I started calling from the other room, "LT. I want LT." Dave questioned my decision and told me to get Tom Brady. This went on for about a minute and before I knew it, my loving husband drafts Tom Brady as my first pick. I was not excited. (I'll give him credit and say that the draft is very stressful.) You probably know where this is headed. Tom Brady tore his ACL in the first game and is out for the season. There goes my first pick.
I didn't start with a great team and I lost the first game but I've made some major changes. Here's how my team performed last week. I'm the Bombers.
For almost every good picture there is a story behind it, and a few bad pictures. I thought I would include one of the stories for your entertainment.
Getting ready for the photo shoot.
Photo shoot begins, with a silly face.
And some spit-up.
And cross-eyed.
Let's try some clothes. She's not so sure.
Getting sleepy.
There we go, as good as it's going to get today.
I could do a progression of posts titled, "Nobody warned me." Maybe I will. Today I would like to say that nobody warned me about the massive amounts of laundry that follows the birth of this small little body. Yes, I know, it should go without saying. I did expect for my laundry to pick up but her clothes are so small... how much laundry could there really be?
Well, I soon realized it's not just her clothes, it's my clothes (changed a few times a day), it's the changing pad cover (changed a few to many times a day) and if I'm not careful, it's even my sheets. All resulting in a lot of laundry and an increase in the water and electric bill.
Worth it? Totally.
We have had a small issue with Ellie and her sleep recently. She loves to snuggle and she loves to fall asleep on you, but she does not love the transfer to her bed.
The other night I decided that maybe it wasn't the warmth of someones arms that she was missing, but the noise and environment. So I rolled the bassinet out into the living room with Dave and I and gave it a try. The results......a peaceful, sleeping baby. We'll see if it works two days in a row.
