Expressions

She is getting a lot more interactive these days but she is still the baby of a million expressions.

Solid Foods

Posted by Brie |

Since Ellie has been sitting up so well, we have started her on some solid foods. Here is her first reaction to that:

It took her a little while, but she is doing really well. So far we've tried rice, avocado, oatmeal and green beans. Avocados have been the big hit.

Ellie's Sitting Up

Posted by Brie |

So, again, it has been to long. We are in the process of moving our photo library to Aperture, and I have not learned how to edit photos in there yet. But so many things have been happening that I can't neglect sharing them with you anymore. So I am breaking rules and surrendering unedited photos to you today. Hopefully, soon, they will be replaced.

Since Christmas, Ellie has been quite proud of herself for sitting up. She is early for sitting up but she still refuses to roll over. Crazy girl.

Happy New Year!

Posted by Brie |

Dave and I have decided to read through the Bible together this year. The hard decision has been what plan to use. In case you are interested, I thought I would let you know the two plans we were debating between.

Bethlehem Baptist Church has a great reading plan where you read through the whole Bible for 25 days out of each month. That gives you a chance to either catch up on missed readings or to further study something of interest from that month. They have great bookmarks outlining the plan to print.

D.A. Carsons books titled For the Love of God go through the OT once and the NT and Psalms twice and offer a companion devotional that goes along with your reading. For families it also offers a family plan that coincides. He has Volumes 1 & 2 published with 3 & 4 in the works. Each volume will highlight a different part of the reading plan to be read in consecutive years.

Dave and I have chosen D.A. Carson. I will be using amazons online excerpts until the books arrive. We have purchased both volumes so next we will have to decide who gets what.
